inRoute 8.2: Route Search Improvements

inRoute 8.2 is now available on the iOS and Mac App Stores, with route search improvements to help you more easily find fuel, food, lodging & more, based on mileage or hours you want to drive:

Search Suggestions

Route search options now appear directly on the Search screen anytime there is a route on the map. You can easily find gas based on how many miles you want to drive between stops, find restaurants near lunch time, or find lodging based on how many hours you want to drive per day.

Search Examples

Each of the route search options include common search terms (gas, food, hotels, etc.), and results are color-coded to match the pin color each uses on the map.

Drop Pins at Intervals

You can now add markers at specific miles or hours along your route. For long trips, if you know how far you want to drive between stops, it can be useful to zoom in on each interval’s marker and search nearby, or simply pan around to see what’s nearby (tip: press and hold on a marker and select “Zoom to” to quickly zoom in).
